The Sabbat Clan
The Sabbat clan, known as the Black Hand, is the largest clan of all Vampyre. The Sabbat clan is rumored to be evolved from a medieval death cult. The Black Hand rules through fear, hatred, anger and physical violence. Members of the Sabbat come from many different bloodlines, though two clans dominate the organization: The Lasombra and Voldava. However the Volava's are the more sophisticated of the two.
The Sabbat, more so than most Kindred (the fellowship of all vampyre), believe that the mortals are inferior beasts to be dominated and used as the need requires and have no place as the prominent race on the Earth. They believe that the Vampyre are the perfection of the world and are the true rulers. The mortals do not know of our true presence and power, they have rumors, myths, and stories that have replaced and covered up the truth to our true beginnings. The members of the Sabbat revel in being Vampyre and living out their instincts. They find other Kindred contemptible because they try so hard to retain their humanity. For the Sabbat, this is the greatest blasphemy.
In the end, nothing certain can be said of the Sabbat. Indeed, all that the Kindred believes about it could be false, rumors spread by the Antediluvians (the most ancient of vampyre, they are likely the most powerful creatures in the world) who wish the Kindred to fight. It is unlikely, but all too possible.
The Sabbat clan resides mostly in the United States and stretches through most of the Eastern states. The direct origins of the first Sabbat are lost somewhere in the legends of the Vampyre.
